KASA: KEVIN + ASAKO SPERRY ARCHITECTURE
KASA is a multi-disciplinary architecture and design firm located in New York City. With over 20 years of professional experience throughout major cities around the globe, we bring a specialized set of skills and focus to every project. Our experience ranges from small to very large scale projects, and includes custom single and multi-family residences, historic adaptive reuse projects, retail and commercial buildings, mixed-use master planned communities and furniture design and production. We have been instrumental to the success of numerous well known and award-winning projects such as 2 Bethesda Metro Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Dos Rios Park in Grand Junction, Colorado, Uline Arena in Washington, DC, Liberty National Golf Course clubhouse in Jersey City, New Jersey, and the Alessi product designs and flagship store in SoHo, New York City.
KEVIN + ASAKO SPERRY
Kevin Sperry, AIA was born in Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. He received his Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2004. He has worked professionally in Los Angeles with Xefirotarch, in New York with Contemporary Architecture Practice (Ali Rahim) and Harry Elson Architect, and in Chicago and Washington, DC with Antunovich Associates.
Asako Hiraoka Sperry, AIA was born in Yokohama, Japan and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Architecture from Tokyo University of Science in 2001. She received her Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2004. She has worked professionally in Tokyo with Nihon Sekkei, in Los Angeles with Xefirotarch, in New York with Asymptote Architecture (Hani Rashid and Lise-Anne Couture), and in Chicago and Washington, DC with Antunovich Associates.
Kevin & Asako worked together at the Chicago-based architecture firm of Antunovich Associates from 2007 until 2019. Together, they opened the Washington, DC office and grew it from 3 people to 40 people in 7 years as Managing and Design Principals. Under their leadership, Antunovich Associates designed over 50 projects within the Washington, DC area and throughout the East Coast.
